Florida-based European American Armory Corporation (EAA) brings forth a 1911 that packs a punch and is easy to carry. The Girsan MC1911 C chambered in 10mm features a manageable size vs. power ratio. As a result, you can always be sure to have your 10mm on you when you need it most. Specifically, the MC1911 C offers easily carried protection in the woods or city streets.

The MC1911 C is available in four colorways and features stainless steel construction. You can select either Blue/Black, Dark Earth, Stainless Steel, or Two Tone. Additionally, the stainless-steel construction of the 8-inch pistol brings the weight to a hefty 2.35 pounds.
For comparison, my full-size Sig Sauer P226 RDAK chambered in .40 is 2 pounds 11 ounces, fully loaded. Similarly, my Springfield Hellcat Pro is 1 pound 13 ounces, fully loaded. However, the additional weight helps mitigate felt recoil in the smaller package.
The grip features textured grip panels for additional retention, while a beavertail safety offers additional security. Likewise, an ambidextrous thumb safety provides assurance during carry. However, the other controls (mag release and slide stop) are not ambidextrous. Just forward of the trigger guard is a four-slot Picatinny rail for additional accessories.
The slide features forward and rear cocking serrations for easier slide manipulation, even under duress or wet conditions. Atop the slide is an adjustable rear super-sight coupled with a fiber optic front sight, offering a 3-dot sight model. Housed within the slide is the 4.4-inch barrel chambered in the popular 10mm, perfect for self-defense against creatures—four or two-legged.
“Normally when you try to get a smaller barrel on a handgun with more firepower there is some compromise, but Girsan really found a way to make this smaller handgun a pleasure to shoot and be very accurate right out of the box.” said Keith Bernkrant, President of EAA Corp. “The feel and accuracy of a full-size handgun, with the stopping power of a 10mm? What’s not to love?”
The Girsan MC1911 C 10mm is available now with an MSRP of $757.00. For more info, please visit EAACorp.com.
