That leads us to one of the coolest videos that we’ve seen in a long time.
Rare albino buck captured on video
Instagram user @joelord_wi shared a video this week that is nothing short of absolutely incredible. The footage going viral on Instagram shows an albino buck with a massive rack running across a road in Wisconsin.

“Well I hope this was a good omen for fishing this week in the Wisconsin Northwoods. Can’t explain what it was like getting so close to such a majestic Unicorn! Wild Wisconsin, albino whitetail,” he captioned the video.
That certainly sums it up well.

My brother-in-law captured footage of an albino deer back in 2024 that you can see below.
While the exact number of albino deer in Wisconsin isn’t known, it’s estimated that one out of every 30,000 births of white-tail deer are albino.
I grew up in Wisconsin and spent countless hours outdoors. I’ve seen an albino deer in-person one time in my entire life.
That’s what makes seeing one so incredibly special. It might only happen once, if it happens at all.
