On this solemn Memorial Day, Bobby Charles —a former Naval Intelligence Officer, AMAC Spokesman and candidate for Governor of Maine — honors the heroes who gave their lives in defense of our Nation.
In this heartfelt message, Bobby reflects on:
- The legacy of fallen warriors from Maine and across America
- His own service alongside brave men and women in uniform
- The sacred duty of leadership to protect what they died for protecting
As we honor their sacrifice, let us recommit ourselves to the ideals they defended: freedom, justice, and a safer future for all Mainers.

Robert Charles is a former Assistant Secretary of State under Colin Powell, former Reagan and Bush 41 White House staffer, attorney, and naval intelligence officer (USNR). He wrote “Narcotics and Terrorism” (2003), “Eagles and Evergreens” (2018), and is National Spokesman for AMAC. Robert Charles has also just released an uplifting new book, “Cherish America: Stories of Courage, Character, and Kindness” (Tower Publishing, 2024).
